Hundreds of orange balls emblazoned with the Creative Time logo and containing a piece of paper with curatorial information and a map locating Art Cluster installations bounce inside a 30-foot long vitrine in the center of Duffy Square.  Visitors to Duffy Square may reach within this vitrine to grab one of the balls for themselves, to take with them in their search for these Clusters.  Their initial participation in this "information grab" results in a happening: a group dance recital, a twisting crowd of people reaching for the balls, on display for all to see in the kinetic atmosphere of Times Square.Our proposal posits that the chaos of these hundreds of bouncing orange spheres mirrors the chaotic mix of Times Square. This spectacle is a playful analog that literally bounces information to onlookers, inviting them to participate in a simultaneous but unwitting "dance of the city". Participation in this happening also guarantees a prize: a tour of Times Square and further access to the clusters of art that engage this metropolis.
